Local MFG company is seeking an Assistant Team Lead to work Monday - Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Team Lead will support the Team Lead in overseeing daily operations on the production floor. This role involves supervising a small team of workers, ensuring that production schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe, efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Team Lead in supervising production staff and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Monitor production processes to ensure they align with quality standards and deadlines.
- Address issues that arise during the shift, escalating to the Team Lead as necessary.
- Train new team members and support ongoing employee development.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to minimize downtime and resolve technical problems.
- Assist in managing inventory, materials, and supplies to ensure the production line runs smoothly.
- Prepare daily reports on production activities and team performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Prior leadership experience or supervisory skills are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with production management software are preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [insert weight] lbs. as needed.
- Comfortable working in varying conditions such as noise, heat, and heavy machinery.
