Austin Telco is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the AVP Card Services. In this role, you will lead the Card Services team, driving strategic planning and executing initiatives that enhance our card products and services. You will also be instrumental in ensuring exceptional service delivery and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
Attendance and Schedule: This is an onsite position. Occasionally, you may be required to perform activities after hours and/or on weekends or holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operational functions of card services, including credit and debit card issuance and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive card portfolio growth and profitability.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to ensure the card services offered remain competitive and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute promotion campaigns for card products.
- Establish and maintain relationships with card networks, processors, and other key vendors.
- Manage risk and fraud prevention measures related to card services.
- Analyze card usage data to identify product enhancements or new product development opportunities.
- Ensure member service excellence in all aspects of card services, including dispute resolution and fraud claim handling.
- Develop and manage the card services budget, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of card services professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with the compliance department to ensure all card services activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the IT department to oversee card services technology integration and ensure system reliability and security.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on card services' performance and strategic direction.
- Participate in contract negotiations and manage contract renewals with service providers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Card Services or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of credit and debit card products, services, and industry practices
- Proven track record of successfully managing card portfolios and implementing strategic initiatives
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management as they pertain to card services
- Experience in P&L management and budgeting for card-related products and services
- Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with card analytics tools and platforms
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Ability to innovate and drive enhancements in card technology, member experience, and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with digital payment technologies and evolving trends in the payments industry
- High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the security and privacy of member information
- Required to travel as needed for business purposes
