POSITION PURPOSE:
Assist in the preparation, training and administration of policy and procedures as they pertain to Consumer Banking. Supervise the branch staff according to Bank defined performance objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Supervise the Branch staff and tellers and work with the Vice President of Consumer Banking.
- Assist Vice President of Consumer Banking in goal setting, budgeting, marketing, policy and procedures for the Branch.
- Approve and close loan applications with a close working relationship with operations and credit administration.
- Open deposit accounts and be knowledgeable about all deposit account products, including merchant services and remote capture.
- Interview and research customer complaints to resolve issues quickly.
- Facilitate employee training.
- Perform annual employee evaluations per policy guidelines.
- Supervise work time for employees (days off, scheduling, attempting to avoid excessive use of overtime, keeping busy)
- Visit Realtors on a regular basis to develop a better relationship.
- Attending outside training seminars as required.
- Attend Realtor meetings and other outside community activities to promote the Bank.
- Attend branch and Bank meetings
- Participate in Officer Calling Programs to generate new business and solidify existing customer relationships.
- Perform duties as necessary or assigned by the Vice President of Consumer Banking
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:
- Overall satisfaction of consumer customer base as measured by consumer deposit and loan growth as well as customer satisfaction surveys.
- All consumer bankers are properly trained in deposit and loan products and can match consumer needs with product.
- Budget goals are met or exceeded.
- Satisfactory compliance rating from auditors and examiners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Minimum of high school diploma.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of banking, personal financial management, and consumer regulatory laws, including disclosure, truth in lending, etc.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three to five years in the financial services industry with experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving specific sales goals and building referral sources.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal, verbal communication skills and customer service experience. Sales and service techniques, including proactive selling, networking and cold calling. Must be able to work effectively in a team setting.
