Title: Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management
Job Summary
The AVP of Enrollment Management will be responsible for the overall leadership
and management of Recruiting, Advising, High School Initiatives, and Student Life. Ensures that all
pertinent federal; state and institutional laws; policies; and registration are followed. They will oversee
and manage the enrollment processes and strategies to attract, retain, and support students. This role
reports directly to the Executive Vice President.
Job Duties
- 50% - • Create and sustain a vision and strategic plan for enrollment management that is appropriate to JSCC and aligned with its overarching strategic plan and priorities. • Provide stability, cohesion, and leadership to and ensure efficient operations of the Offices of Recruitment, Advising, High School Initiatives, and Student Life through collaborative and cooperative relationships. • Manages day-to-day operations of the Enrollment Management including development and oversight of the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan. • Develops and evaluates enrollment processing services by analyzing data; along with action plans to yield desired results for excellent customer service. • Develop, manage, and maintain an enrollment management budget that effectively balances staff needs with the fiduciary responsibilities of the College. - (Essential)
- 30% - • Develop marketing strategies and initiatives. • Foster efforts to attract and retain a student body equipped for success at JSCC. • Actively participate in enrollment management events to provide and model leadership, engagement, and continuity. • Stay current on national and regional market trends and share best practices in enrollment management with the campus, teaching colleagues how to creatively adapt trends and best practices to JSCC's campuses. • Develop and implement policies and procedures in accordance with college standards. • Implement change in an open and transparent style, with grace and authority. • Recognize the importance of the pivotal role student-athletes play in the recruitment process and partner effectively with coaches in the recruitment of those students. • Create and sustain a culture of shared ownership of enrollment management; educate the campus community about best practices in enrollment management. - (Essential)
- 15% - • Listens, solves problems, and communicates with students, staff, faculty, and outside vendors to help student services run efficiently. • Performs administrative duties as needed in order to ensure the college and student success occurs without problems. • Communicates with the various supervised departments to assist staff to promote student success • Serve on various committees to represent the Student Services division of the college. • Additional duties as assigned. • Responsible for overseeing the coordination and facilitation of training provided by the departments. - (Marginal)
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree.
• Experience in higher education
• Flexibility to work outside normal business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience with managing change, implementing new initiatives/projections,
restructuring, and project management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and use data analytics and predictive modeling to enhance
management initiatives for strategic planning.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of best practices in enrollment management and a record of success in increasing
enrollment as well as net tuition revenue.
• Familiarity with and appreciation of traditional, non-traditional, transfer, graduate, and nondegree
seeking student recruitment is required.
• A proven track record in the identification, admission, recruitment, and enrollment of
prospective students, comprehensive and strategic enrollment planning, and shaping classes to
meet the College mission.
• Background in working with transfer student populations is highly desired.
• Analytical, data-informed, and outcomes-oriented; experienced in data analytics and forecasting
class and revenue.
• Ensure that consistent branding and messaging is clearly articulated externally to achieve
strategic goals.
• The ability to engage current students, faculty, alumni, and parents in the recruitment and
enrollment of all new students.
• Practical with the ability to artfully approach all elements of the recruitment funnel.
• Ability to effectively employ financial aid leveraging strategies.
• Familiarity with compliance of federal and state financial aid regulations, along with attention to
adherence of budget guidelines.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a hard-working, energetic team; recognize the skill sets and
talents of the staff and provide professional development opportunities to enhance them.
• Personal strengths that include approachability, accessibility, energy, motivation,
resourcefulness, and good humor.
• Ability to handle information of sensitive and confidential nature in the utmost professional
manner.
• Effective analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent communication (oral and written),
organizational, and time management skills. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work
with diverse constituents.

dependability.

Pay Rate: $82,257 - $102,822 (Annual salary depending on eligible experience which is defined by the current compensation plan.)
