Assistant Warehouse Manager (Service Manager) - Amarr Garage Doors

Job Summary: The Service Manager assists in the direction and coordination of activities of the Door Center.ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Assists in coordinating assembly, work schedules (including temporary personnel as needed), and warehousing operations to ensure service leads are met2. Assists in establishing operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory3. Monitor production to ensure satisfactory levels as well as customer service levels are being met4. Ensures that corporate programs regarding safety, security, care of equipment and facility, etc., are followed, ensures OSHA compliance5. Ensures the availability of parts required for warehouse assembly and production by coordinating with the General Manager6. Inspects warehouse facilities and equipment and recommends changes in allocation of space and storage procedures to General Manager7. Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment and schedules needed maintenance8. Investigates customers' complaints involving such matters as damaged items, overcharges, and delay in shipment, and confers with General Manager on necessary adjustment9. Assists with meeting weeks of inventory, scrap and damage goals10. Responsible for an "injury-free" workplace11. Assist in the development of an annual Individual Development Plan (IDP) and meet all training targets as spelled out in the IDP and by corporate goals12. Perform other duties as assignedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1. Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination for operation of hand/power tools2. Extended time on feet, walking distances up to 200 feet3. Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying and lifting (up to 50 pounds)MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:1. Clear and effective written and oral communication skills2. College education or related experience3. Organizational, time management and analytical skills4. Valid drivers license5. Good supervisory, leadership and motivational skills6.
