This purpose of this ROLE is:
Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders. May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
A Typical day at ACI for a JOB TITLE is:
- Perform accounting functions for various general ledger accounts which involves the preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist in the consolidation process (eliminations, equity transactions, revaluations, translations, data transfers, etc.).
- Communicate with regional accounting team members regarding month-end close status and related deliverables.
- Participate in development and maintenance of ACI Worldwide's accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation.
- Provide record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.
- Interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders.
- Review, track and maintain information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
- Develop, implement and/or maintain accounting systems.
- Complete special accounting projects assigned by management.
- Prepare regulatory reporting financial information.
- Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
- Alert management of potential internal control issues or non-compliance with policy.
- Provide internal and external audit deliverables.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 0 - 2 years of related experience.
You are a solid fit for this position if you also have:
- Proficiency with financial data, Excel spreadsheets as well as familiarity with other Microsoft products.
- Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Desired pursuit of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on more responsibility over time.
- Strong work ethic.
