Summary:
Performs basic or routine AP Treasury activities in accordance with policies, principles, standards, and regulatory requirements. Serves as a process owner and subject matter expert for AP Treasury responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Processing, monitoring, and reporting daily Treasury disbursements (Wire, ACH, and check) including time-sensitive payments.
+ Reconciliations of payments and failures.
+ Review of payment blocks, exceptions, and or errors for Wire, ACH, and check.
+ Work with multiple teams for researching payments and ensuring payments are made timely.
+ Posts journal entries and other financial transactions, maintains general ledger, and reconciles accounts related to AP Treasury functions.
+ Recommends ways to reduce costs or improve processes and standards.
+ May document, update, and maintain internal procedures or work on special projects.
+ Acts as subject matter expert, participates in UAT, trains new employees, and assists in resolving invoice processing questions or problems.
+ In coordination with lead and/or supervisor, develops and monitors vendor disbursement controls and procedures.
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. Accounting preferred. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
+ 0-2 + years accounting/finance experience.
+ Cash disbursements experience or equivalent AP processing experience preferred.
+ SAP experience preferred.
+ Industry experience strongly preferred
Skills:
+ Able to produce low error/high quality work product
+ Strong knowledge of accounting practices and invoice processing
+ Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills
+ Ability to adapt to continuous improvement
+ Ability to adapt to change in a fast growing work environment
+ Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
+ Ability to work in a team environment
+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
This position requires working on a rotating schedule on company holidays in which banks are open.
This position is part of a job family with multiple grade levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a posted level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
