Theo is a fast-growing performance media agency located in Portland, Oregon. We help local and national brands across a wide range of industries advance their marketing practices through strategic marketing activations.
Our Insights team is responsible for providing our clients and internal teams with the information they need to make smart, fast, data driven decisions. We love creating data visualizations that increase the understanding of complex concepts and we excel at creating data pipelines that continuously feed our business intelligence reports and dashboards, so everyone is equipped with the data necessary for their work.
We are looking for a talented Data Analyst who can manage this process across a diverse set of clients and industries as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards for internal and client use
- Collaborate with media and strategy teams to develop client presentations that clearly communicate performance trends and opportunities
- Interpret and communicate performance trends and collaborate with internal marketing teams to identify contributing factors and corresponding optimizations and actions
- Create data sets to be shared and used across multiple teams by gathering, organizing, cleaning, and connecting data from multiple sources into a cohesive and understandable data model
- Monitor data pipeline and resolve any errors or issues in a timely manner
- Manage priorities across a diverse set of clients and projects
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Basic Excel understanding
- Great attention to detail
- Math skills
- Proficient PC computer skills
- Curious attitude leading to sourcing root causes and correlations
- Basic analysis experience
Bonus for basic understanding of the following:
- Understand the dimensions and metrics available across the standard digital marketing platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook, Salesforce, etc)
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI including best practices with data transformations and DAX
- Understand relational data design
- Advanced understanding of Excel
- Understand data visualization best practices
- Basic understanding of ad tagging/UTM process
- 2 years experience in an analyst or reporting role
- Bachelor degree preferred
