We are seeking a motivated and talented Associate Attorney with a focus on First Party Property Insurance to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role that offers the flexibility of working remotely and in-office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team of legal professionals, providing legal counsel to a diverse range of clients.
Responsibilities:
As a Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Handling all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals related to first-party property insurance claims.
2. Analyzing complex legal and factual issues, conducting extensive, well-reasoned legal research, and independently developing and presenting defense strategies on behalf of clients.
3. Providing legal counsel on first-party property insurance claims, including interpreting policy provisions and applicable laws.
4. Negotiating settlements and representing clients in mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
5. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective execution of legal strategies.
6. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to first-party property insurance and using this knowledge to provide proactive advice to clients.
7. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including regular communication and updates on case progress.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the role will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the CA state bar and in good standing.
3. Minimum of 1 years of litigation experience, with a focus on first-party property insurance
4. Proven track record of successfully handling first-party property insurance claims, including litigation and negotiation of settlements.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and other stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in legal research tools and software, including Westlaw or LexisNexis.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
