Associate Attorney - General Liability - Gpac

Highly regarded full service law firm seeks a motivated associate attorney to join their general liability litigation group. This is a great opportunity for a motivated associate attorney with a strong academic background and experience in civil defense litigation. Attorneys in the general liability group routinely defend and try all types of tort claims including construction, premises, products, toxic tort and subrogation matters in both state and federal jurisdictions. Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member and in good standing of the Illinois State Bar
• 2-5 years of experience in general liability, insurance defense, and/or general civil defense litigation
• Experience with all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions and hearings, and trial prep and settlment negotiation
• Experience drafting complaints, motions, briefs, memorandums, discovery, and other legal correspondence
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, collaborates well with a team
• Well-organized and prioritizes tasks while meeting deadlines efficiently
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to think strategically
• Trial experience is welcome, but not a requirement
• Wisconsin Bar license is a plus
