Our firm is looking to hire a dynamic, resourceful, and dedicated Permanent Associate Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced team of attorneys and play a key role in managing a variety of legal matters. You will have the opportunity to work on complex legal issues, focusing primarily on civil litigation and employment law. This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional recently barred and graduated, looking to advance their career in a well-established firm that values teamwork, integrity, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court proceedings and during legal transactions.
2. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
3. Conduct legal research and analysis to advise clients or to prepare cases.
4. Provide legal advice to clients concerning their legal rights and obligations.
5. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
6. Negotiate settlements in civil disputes.
7. Handle employment law matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and workplace harassment cases.
8. Participate in depositions, mediations, and arbitration proceedings.
9. Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
10. Collaborate with senior attorneys to formulate defense strategies and understand client goals.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to the State Bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 0 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on civil litigation, civil rights, and employment law.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal principles clearly and effectively.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound judgments.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and tasks, with attention to detail and deadlines.
7. Proficient in legal research and writing, with experience using legal research software.
8. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record in resolving disputes favorably.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to client service.
