POSITION SUMMARY:
We’re seeking a diligent and hard-working Associate Attorney to be a crucial part of our mission to assist our clients in realizing their goals of becoming American citizens. To be the right individual for this role, it will be essential for you to safeguard the rights and aspirations of our clients. Your dedication to immigration law and immigrant rights advocacy will be paramount as you navigate the
complexities of motion practice, representing clients in pivotal moments—from removal and deportation proceedings to attending interviews with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. You will also be a vital advocate before institutions such as the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct efficient legal research using word processing and document databases; prepare strong defenses through meticulous evidence collection.
- Strategize, draft, and file petitions/applications; communicate with clients about case processing and procedures.
- Manage and update a substantial caseload, ensuring timely status reports.
- Bring a robust understanding of non-immigrant and immigrant categories to enhance case outcomes.
- Spearhead trial preparations: perform in-depth research, conduct client and witness interviews, and prepare legal briefs.
- Represent clients in court before administrative agencies, interpreting relevant laws, rulings, and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members on case strategy and foster a positive, cohesive firm culture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a member in good standing of a state bar (Florida preferred)
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a prerequisite for this position.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Occasional travel may be required
- Prior immigration clinic/children & youth clinic/human rights clinic and similar experience is a plus
