Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense - Gpac

A highly regarded business law firm is seeking an emerging associate attorney to join their recognized practice. We are searching for an associate attorney with a strong background in civil defense litigation and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and exceptional communication skills, and experience with insurance defense, general liability, and/or workers compensation litigation. Associate attorneys enjoy an open and collaborative office, delivering solutions to issues involving business organization, corporate growth, and risk management.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member and in good standing of the Illinois State Bar (WI bar is a plus)
• 2-5 years of litigation experience in civil defense, preferably insurance defense, liability, and/or workers compensation and subrogation
• Experience in all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions and hearings, and settlement negotiation
• Highly skilled in drafting complaints, motions, briefs, memorandums, discovery, and other legal correspondence
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines efficiently
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to think strategically
• Trial experience is welcome, but not a requirement
