We are seeking a dynamic, committed, and experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Trusts and Estates to join our esteemed legal team. This role presents a unique opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of legal matters, including trusts, probate, asset protection, and tax planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning and administration, and a deep understanding of applicable tax laws. Responsibilities:
As an Associate Attorney specializing in Trusts and Estates, you will be expected to:
1. Provide comprehensive legal counsel on all aspects of trusts and estate planning, including drafting wills, living trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
2. Manage all phases of the probate and estate administration process, including asset distribution, debt settlement, and tax compliance.
3. Develop and implement effective asset protection strategies to minimize clients' exposure to potential liabilities and risks.
4. Advise clients on tax planning matters, including estate, gift, and income tax implications of estate planning strategies.
5. Collaborate closely with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure the provision of high-quality legal services.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends pertaining to trusts, estates, asset protection, and tax planning.
7. Represent clients in court proceedings as necessary, and effectively negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Associate Attorney position, you must possess the following:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Florida state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney with a focus on trusts, probate, asset protection, and tax planning litigation
4. Demonstrated expertise in drafting complex wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
5. Proven ability to handle probate and estate administration matters efficiently and effectively.
6. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws as they relate to estate planning.
7. Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
8. Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
9. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
