Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and services to ensure the maximum protection of our clients' legal rights.
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
- Handle a variety of matters, including long-term care defense.
- Conduct research to support a legal proceeding, to formulate a defense, or initiate legal action.
- Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases.
- Supervise legal assistants and paralegals and delegate responsibilities as necessary.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest legal trends and regulations to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- At least 2 years of experience in long-term care defense OR medical malpractice experience.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- High level of professional integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
