Betts Law Group is on the lookout for a motivated Associate Attorney who loves sports and cares about employee rights to work closely with former professional athletes. The perfect candidate will be eager to dive into all aspects of handling cases, from start to finish, which includes attending depositions, court hearings, trials, legal research, and drafting briefs. While experience in workers compensation, whether on the defense or applicant side, is a bonus, it's not a must-have.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Providing strong advocacy for professional athletes in workers' compensation claims.
• Managing a diverse caseload and pushing cases towards successful outcomes.
• Drafting important legal documents, working on all stages of discovery, gaining deposition experience right away, and representing clients both in and out of court.
• Receiving direct guidance from seasoned partners who are dedicated to helping you improve your skills and advance your career within a collaborative team environment.

Your Background:

• A JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• A member of the California State Bar with 0-3 years of experience.
• A passion for sports, a commitment to employee rights, and a desire to seek justice through impactful compensation claims.
• Excitement to learn all about litigation, from conducting depositions to representing clients in court, with strong communication and organizational skills to back you up.
