Labor and Employment Associate Attorney - San Diego

Renowned law firm is in search of accomplished associates with a minimum of 3 years' experience to join its dynamic Labor & Employment team in California. We are seeking applicants with a background in employment litigation, a comprehensive understanding of State and Federal fair employment laws,wage and hour experience in both class action and PAGA and will have experience managing and analyzing records to assess compliance issues on a representative basis. Coming to work with a solid work ethic, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork will be critical factors for success in this position. The firm offers interesting cases, complex legal issues, great clients, and many opportunities for professional growth and development.  The firm encourages attorneys to become involved in the community, embrace their passions, and seek balance in their careers. This is a hybrid role, onsite 3 days in the office. Responsibilities

• Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies

• Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings

• Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action

• Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions

• Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently

 Qualifications

• Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required

• Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association

• Work independently while handling a heavy caseload

• Experience managing information (i.e. time records) in Excel

• Computer skills working with iManage and Coyote Analytics preferred
