ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY FOR ITS WASHINGTON, D.C. OFFICE

Our clients work locally, nationally, and globally to further social justice, civil rights, environmental responsibility, education, health, and more. Our collaborative practice focuses on advising our clients on tax and corporate laws unique to the nonprofit sector, including nonprofit corporate structures and legal compliance, social enterprise, lobbying and political advocacy, international philanthropy, and much more. Although our area of practice is specific, the work we do is diverse, complex, and challenging. Our clients represent a wide spectrum of size, stage, and purpose, from small, newly launched grassroots advocacy organizations to large, established philanthropies. Our clients are committed to making a better and more equitable world, and they inspire us every day. We are looking for a motivated attorney to join our Washington, D.C. team. The ideal candidate will have at least four full years of tax and/or transactional experience or similar professional experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated interest in the nonprofit sector. Adler & Colvin offers competitive compensation and generous benefits:
Compensation: Annual base salary for associates ranges between $115,000 and $250,000, based on assigned year level. Associates are also eligible for annual nondiscretionary incentive compensation of up to 25% of their base salary. Please note that associate offers of employment and assigned year level will depend on the candidate’s applicable knowledge, skills, and experience.
Paid Time Off: Competitive vacation accrual; designated holidays, paid floating holiday, and sick leave.
Health Plan: Three Blue Shield PPO plan options with a national PPO network, along with dental and vision insurance. Adler & Colvin generously contributes toward the employee cost of group medical coverage.
Dental & Vision Plans: Adler & Colvin pays 100% of dental and vision premiums.
Basic Life/AD&D and Long-Term Disability Insurance: Adler & Colvin pays 100% of the premiums.
Retirement: 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan. Under the Safe Harbor provisions of the Plan, the firm contributes 5% total gross compensation, with or without employee contribution, up to the allowable maximum for the 401(k) part of the plan. The Profit-Sharing provisions are subject to end of year calculations.
