As an Associate Business Manager, you will support the Operations team in the day to day financial and operational management of the US Public Relations group
- Support Sr. Business Manager in the financial management of key anchor accounts
- Maintain weekly budget trackers and analyze KPIs to maximize revenue generation and prevent possible overages/write-offs
- Identify potential time transfers and present findings/rationale to account leadership
- Liaise between Project Financial Analysts (PFAs) and PR account teams to ensure key project financial activities are executed at the proper times: project approvals, time moves, invoice drafts and approvals, etc.
- Opportunity to become the main business manager on several growth accounts
- Guide account teams through the project life cycle
- Own the project set-up process: document client approvals and proactively update the project status, allocate the budget on a task level based on the client SOW, and finalize client billing details to prepare for invoicing
- Update project budgets based on client contracting updates (change orders, new SOWs, etc.) to ensure revenue is forecasted and recognized in an accurate and timely manner
- Track task and project code end dates and work with account teams to extend when needed. Proactively identify when projects should be closed to prevent budget overages and reconciliation issues.
- Develop ability to present data and communicate across a diverse set of stakeholders (account teams, operations management, finance management, PFAs, etc.), keeping all relevant parties informed and accountable for changes and updates
- Own and manage investment tracking: work with account teams on investment and write-off requests, track documentation/approvals and flag potential overages
- Support the business and contract managers in the new client set-up process
- Assist account teams in vendor set-up and payment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business: finance, operations or marketing
- 1-2 years professional experience preferred
- Background in project management preferred
- Flexible time management and ability to shift priorities as needed
- Detail oriented and excellent communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft excel
- Experience with Oracle preferred
- Keen eye for process improvements and reporting efficiencies

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $X to $Y. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
