Job DescriptionThe Associate Buyer will directly support the purchasing function for our MATI division. In this role, you’ll assist with all aspects of the sourcing and purchasing function. As a valuable member of the buying team, you will help drive the import/export shipping processes, including vendor selection, order processing, and shipment reconciliation. You’ll also work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Demand Planning, and Customer Service while ensuring timely delivery of our high-quality products.
Principle Responsibilities
- Participate in evaluating and selecting potential vendors by analyzing submitted quotes and stated capabilities.
- Study market trends and facilitate introductory conversations with potential vendors to narrow the search.
- Establish and maintain a Materials Master in SAP.
- Prepare and place purchase orders within the current vendor network.
- Review shipping processes and associated paperwork. Reconcile discrepancies with internal and external partners to create accurate shipping notifications.
- Maintain pertinent departmental records and files. Generate routine reports for leadership review.
- Assume special assignments as required.

- Analytical skills to understand the correlation among sales history, market demand and forecast, then make sound procurement decision.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- One year of intern experience preferred.
- Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.
