Associate Category Manager – Non Commercial
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: This role within our Pilgrim’s Prepared Foods business unit will own and support the P&L, create meaningful relationships with cross-functional teams and reach business objectives. This role will be highly dynamic to support our Non-Commercial business. Managing projects, this person influences and collaborates cross-functionally, working closely with Category Marketing, R&D, Culinary, Sensory Science, Brand and Customer Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain.
This role will be onsite at our corporate office in Greeley, CO.

- Leads all P&L decisions including pricing and trade management with a deep understanding of the channel complexities.
- Understand sales cycles and tools needed to support within the K-12 and other Non-Commercial segments.
- Strong negotiation skills following the PSP process.
- Have clear communication and willingness to take strong ownership of their business.
- Must build meaningful relationships with the cross-functional leaders.
- Will have a strong understanding of product development and GTM execution.
- Must be organized to manage projects along with routines and requests.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all P&L activities to ensure growth as defined by the Pilgrim’s Prepared Foods business unit.
- Work directly with sales and customers within K-12 and Non-Commercial segments to negotiate and deliver growth.
- Build annual strategic plans following defined go-to-market guardrails which meet timelines and budget for KPI attainment.
- Managing new product development and timelines with GTM strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging consumer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Track segment performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand market & competitive strengths as well as the identification, creation, & execution of activities.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Economics, Business, Statistics, or related field preferred).
- Experience:
- >3 years of experience within CPG Foodservice or Proteins.
- Experience working with sales and customer presentations.
- Excellent communication, networking, collaboration, and relationship building.
- Strong analytical, consultative, and problem-solving skills.
- Organized and strong planner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of reporting tools and concepts.
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $80,000 - $95,000; and
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
