About the Job
The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an experienced Associate Construction Project Manager with Secret Clearance. Responsibilities include providing the federal client with professional on-site construction, facility, and project management services across a variety of small to large-scale construction projects. Projects may include space upgrades or modification/reconfiguration of spaces to meet the mission needs of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage an assigned portfolio of projects while addressing challenges related:
- Space acquisition, budgeting and cost management, Scheduling, estimating,
- Construction, space reconfiguration, tenant outfitting
- project administration, program management, logistics, furniture
- Building upkeep and general management of client facilities.
Required Experience & Skills
- A minimum of three years experience in assisting project managers with commercial construction project management
- Understanding of construction methodology and terminology
- Experience tracking funding and space requirements
- Possess experience in space and move management, tracking of outfitting, facility planning, and occupancy plans.
- Experience interfacing with GSA, suppliers, and trades.
- Experience tracking funding and space requirements
- Ability to work independently and in groups.
- Ability to pass a “suitability” background investigation required.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience managing complex new construction or major renovation commercial/government building projects with experience managing simultaneous construction and/or building projects.
- Familiarity with design/construction of secure (SCIF) spaces is preferred, but not required.
Preferred Education
- An architecture, engineering, or construction management bachelor’s degree (civil, mechanical, electrical or architectural, etc) from an accredited University recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
