ASSOCIATE, CONTRACTOR OUTREACH
SUMMARY:
The Connecticut Green Bank (hereafter "Green Bank") is seeking an Associate to join its growing Outreach team. The Associate will focus on contractor outreach, particularly residential solar and energy storage contractors. The Associate will also support outreach across the organization to support contractor utilization of Green Bank products.

Contractors are both an important part of our community and an essential partner in serving other Green Bank stakeholders and making our products accessible to them. This role will execute on this vision through consistent interaction and engagement with the contractor community.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Individual responsibilities may include:
- Regularly engaging with residential solar and storage contractors and industry groups;
- Recruiting new contractors into the Smart-E Loan and Energy Storage Solutions programs, and building strong relationships with them and existing contractors with the goal of contractor retention;
- Supporting efforts to build a more diverse contractor community;
- Supporting the Smart-E Loan and Energy Storage Solutions program teams with the development and delivery of contractor trainings;
- Supporting Smart-E Loan and Energy Storage Solutions program teams in programmatic communications (i.e., in support of contractor governance or process changes);
- Supporting the overarching contractor outreach strategy at the Green Bank including contractor communications, contractor events and engagement, and coordinating with other Green Bank teams as appropriate;
- Supporting the further development, promotion, and execution of the Green Bank's new contractor co-branding program in coordination with program teams and Marketing & Outreach;
- May support the development of and execute on community-based outreach campaigns designed to increase adoption of Green Bank products and programs;
- Collecting, analyzing, and providing contractor feedback to relevant program and product development teams and coordinating with the Green Bank's Marketing team on market research;
- Representing the Green Bank at events, speaking engagements, etc.; and
- Related duties as required.
The overall duties of this position will be refined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the individual hired and the ongoing needs of the team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
The following minimum qualifications in knowledge, skill, and ability are required:
- Experience working for a solar or energy efficiency contractor company, or working with contractors (e.g., at an equipment distributor or a financial institution offering energy lending);
- General knowledge of renewable energy and energy efficiency programs preferred, with specific knowledge of Connecticut programs a plus;
- Ability to understand various energy-related technologies and financial products;
- Marketing skills or a desire to learn such skills, especially in respect to channel-based marketing and co-branding;
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills involving the ability to work with other parties, at all levels, internally and externally;
- Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written communications;
- Ability to work as part of a team, but also work independently, exercise judgment, think critically and creatively, and take initiative;
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management software a plus;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other software programs as necessary.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
General Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience, particularly working as or with residential solar or energy storage contractors. Experience working with energy financing programs is preferred.
Substitutions Allowed:
- A bachelor's degree may be substituted for four (4) years of general experience. In this situation, the candidate must have a minimum of one (1) year of internship or full-time work experience.
The Green Bank will determine if this position will be filled at the Associate or Senior Associate level based on the experience and qualifications of the individual selected.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
- This position reports directly to the Associate Director, Marketing & Outreach.
- It is expected that the position will be based in the Green Bank's Hartford, CT offices, with opportunities for some remote work.
- State of CT benefits package, including generous time-off, health insurance covering medical, dental and vision, retirement, tuition reimbursement for continuing education, and paid leave.
- Salary commensurate with experience, ranging between $64,000 - $84,000.
