We are searching for an in-house Associate Corporate Counsel who will be responsible for reviewing laws and regulations across the US and ensuring Tandym compliance with any and all federal, state, and municipality regulations as they change. Reporting to the General Counsel, the Associate Corporate Counsel will interface with Tandym's internal support departments and front-office staff on all employment compliance matters.

A day in the life:
- Evaluate existing policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance standards are met, and conduct periodic internal compliance audits, partner with executive leadership on development and implementation of improvements.
- Advise the company on staffing and employment law compliance, including federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., wage and hour laws, non-compete agreements, EEOC, OSHA).
- Assist in the development of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Perform periodic risk assessments and related on-going compliance monitoring.
- Monitor and report legislation and regulatory changes, trends, and standards. Present and share information with leadership to highlight how changes may affect current policies and procedures.
- Learn new compliance standards that become relevant to Tandym's business (i.e. HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA).
- Act as subject matter expert on all compliance-related issues, supporting front-office staff with regard to internal and client compliance concerns as needed.
- Develop compliance training programs & sales enablement materials to ensure Tandym is proactive internally and with clients around compliance in each location where we have talent.
- Work on other legal matters as part of Tandym's in-house legal team.
About you:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law US school
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in employment law and admitted to practice law in at least one state.
- Experience in HR related legal / regulatory and compliance programs or internal audit highly preferred, with specific subject matter expertise and a strong business understanding of risks, controls and issues within Human Resources.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
