About the Job
Resource Innovations is seeking a dynamic Associate Field Manager located in the Central Valley or Los Angeles/San Diego region to join our growing team in California. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Field Manager to support our small business equity programs portfolio and perform onsite inspections of installed equipment at business customer sites (in the Central Valley or Los Angeles/San Diego region) as well as virtual inspections of submitted projects. The ideal candidate will also reinforce relationships with trade allies (i.e. energy service providers, contractors, installation firms, distributers, and/or manufacturers) in the field to support continuous performance management and improvement. This position will play a crucial role in supporting program operations, inspection metrics, and training efforts for our robust network of qualified trade allies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for being in the field and drive trade ally engagement to support organizational goals and initiatives to serve small business customers with energy efficiency programs. The candidate will help drive program excellence through adherence to inspection requirements, supporting trade ally engagement and retention, and collaborating with the larger program staff to inform program developments. Duties and Responsibilities
- Field Engagement: Conduct mostly onsite and some virtual inspections of installed projects and document findings. The travel expectations for this role are 80% in the field. This includes Central Valley or Los Angeles/San Diego region (depending on area of residence).
- Training and Capacity Building: Support trade allies to build their capacity and increase their expertise in delivering energy efficiency solutions based on program requirements and client expectations.
- Performance Management: Support technical documentation review and contribute to the development of performance management planning to address shortcomings, including corrective support for trade allies struggling to pass inspection requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Support collaboration with with trade allies to improve performance, address issues, and promote success. In coordination with the larger team, recommend and implement process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and project results.
- Program Management: Regularly collect and analyze feedback from trade allies, report to program staff, and use insights to help the Resource Innovations continuously improve its programs.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to travel 80% locally within the Central Valley or Southern California (Los Angeles/San Diego) region.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals and businesses from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working with trade allies, construction, and/or energy efficiency sector.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and project management software.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with proven track record for successful project management
Preferred skills, education and experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- A solid understanding of the trade ally landscape and networks.
- 2+ years' experience in energy sector, energy management, sustainability or related field.
- Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.
