Job Title: Associate Dentist
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Associate Dentist to join our dental practice. As an Associate Dentist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of dental procedures, diagnosing and treating dental conditions, and collaborating with the dental team to ensure the best possible patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Examination and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive oral examinations, assess dental health, diagnose conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Dental Procedures: Perform a variety of dental treatments, including fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals, and other restorative and preventive procedures, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care, fostering an understanding of how to maintain good oral health.
- Collaboration with Dental Team: Work closely with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and effective practice operations.
- Maintenance of Patient Records: Accurately document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Adherence to Safety and Sterilization Protocols: Follow all infection control and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Continuing Education: Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing education courses, attending workshops, and keeping up with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD): A valid dental degree from an accredited institution.
- State Dental License: A current and active license to practice dentistry in the state of employment.
- Clinical Experience: Experience in general dentistry, with proficiency in a wide range of dental procedures.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and work effectively as part of a team.
