ABOUT OUR ANALYTICS & DATA STRATEGY TEAM
Secretariat's analytics and data strategy professionals are experts at resolving complex data challenges. We design and deliver technical solutions to address complex data aggregation and standardization requirements, analyze large volumes of disparate structured and unstructured data sources, create interactive dashboards and other data visualizations, and apply emerging technologies to continuously improve our technical skillsets and client solutions. We work with organizations and law firms across industries and geographies to identify relevant data sources, garner actionable insights, and mitigate data risks in a dispute, investigation, or litigation by strategically leveraging our experience in data, analytics, and technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analytics & Data Strategy associate directors will work closely with Secretariat professionals to provide meaningful analysis and actionable insight to clients' data challenges using a variety of technical tools and strategic consulting skillsets for clients across high-stakes industries such as financial services and healthcare. Associate directors are involved in strategic Secretariat initiatives, contribute to pro bono engagements, participate in team building and social events, and have access to all members of the Secretariat team, locally and across offices and geographies. Leading the day-to-day on complex data-driven work streams and small engagements
- Leading the design and execution of technical workflows, including identifying relationships among disparate datasets, developing complex ETL processes, analyzing structured and unstructured datasets.
- Performing thorough quality control measures to ensure accuracy of work under supervision,
- Leading the preparation of client-ready deliverables,
- Reporting findings to project team members and client stakeholders.
- Work with both the internal Secretariat team and client stakeholders (e.g., C-suite and senior executives, general counsel, external counsel, data scientists, forensic analysts, etc.) to design custom solutions to data-driven challenges.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, MIS, Mathematics, or a similar analytical discipline from an accredited university or college
- At least eight (8) years of relevant professional experience; consulting experience preferred but not required
- Demonstration of leadership and initiative in professional setting
- Deep experience working with complex or disparate datasets, including ETL, analysis, and data visualization of structured and unstructured data sources
- Experience leading the day-to-day on complex data-driven workstreams and client engagements
- Complex analytics, logic, and problem-solving skills
- Interest in contributing to the training, development, recruitment, and mentoring of junior team members
- Attention to detail, critical thinking skills and commitment to quality
- Strong written / verbal communication skills and interpersonal awareness
- Ability to succeed in a team environment
- Enthusiasm for innovation and technology
- Willingness to travel
- Required technical skills: SQL, Python, Tableau (or similar), MS Office Suite
- Preferred technical skills: Google Cloud Platform including BigQuery
- Must be eligible to work in the US without the need for sponsorship at any time in the future
