Workflow & Controls teams helps in building a BPM platform which is core to the S&P Ratings business.
The Impact: Are you interested in transforming our core Business Process Management applications, which are 10+ years old, into single unified BPM platform? We are on mission to build microservice architecture-based scalable, maintainable, loosely coupled unified BPM platform. Our new platform will help our business to realize business values quickly by enabling teams to frequently deploy small independent units of business capabilities using mature DevOps pipelines.

Responsibilities: The ideal candidate is both a visionary and polished business and engineering leader with extensive experience in developing distributed systems, strong technical ability, great communication skills, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to dive deep and remain in touch with business details, drive innovation in the teams, invoke passion in others, think big, and deliver results. Your team(s) will lead and execute on the vision. You also have a proven track record helping them meet and exceed their career goals. We seek an individual who is motivated by a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environment. As a lead at S&P Global Ratings, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation by helping us to reengineer the BPM platform which is core to the S&P Ratings business.
What We’re Looking For:
+ Extensive Coding Experience: 12+ years in JAVA 7 (or above) /J2EE for product development.
+ Application Design and Architecture: Strong understanding required.
+ Database Proficiency: Expertise in RDBMS, proficient in PL/SQL, with good knowledge of Oracle.
+ Spring/Restful Web Services: Practical experience is essential.
+ Web Technologies: Proficiency in JavaScript and frameworks like React/Angular.
+ Messaging Frameworks: Practical experience required.
+ Cloud Infrastructure: Experience in cloud-based products is desirable.
+ Architectural Principles: Must be well-versed.
+ Data Engineering Concepts: Understanding is necessary.
+ Business Solutions: Ability to translate business problems and requirements into solutions.
+ Non-Functional Requirements: Knowledge of performance, scalability, etc.
+ Proactive and Creative: In addressing business requirements.
+ Dependency and Priority Management: Timely and effective handling.
+ Quality Software Development: Develop high-quality software efficiently.
+ Testing and Build Tools: Ability to write JUnit test cases (Karma/Jasmine) and use build tools like Webpack.
Add-ons:
+ Conceptual/Working knowledge of AWS
+ Experience with CI/CD tools and methodology is desirable.
+ Knowledge of Databricks is added advantage.
+ Comfortable working with both UNIX/Linux and Windows environments
+ Hands on experience with build tools like Maven/Ant & Version Control systems like SVN & GIT/GITLAB
+ Experience working in Agile environment is desirable.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates). S&P Global states that the anticipated base range will be $130,000-$155,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
