The Associate Channel Insights, Emerging Government Programs, is responsible for establishing standards that will guide our strategic approach and operational readiness for IRA implementation. You will monitor market trends, Government regulations and guidance to steer assessments of implications while establishing processes for cross functional review and alignment of key provisions and implications. You will lead cross-functional teams in execution of plans that drive implementation of IRA implications and in analyzing scenarios and impacts for our assets. This Associate Director will report into the Senior Director, Strategy, Emerging Government Policy and participate in broader cross-business leadership sessions on strategy and readiness to respond to IRA.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Serve as a central point of oversight for establishing IRA standards that guide product planning and strategy development.
• Oversee the IRA Horizon scan for forecasting and identifying future selected products for CMS price setting and work with internal teams to validate and maintain on annual basis.
• Research and investigate IRA technical questions and align positions with cross functional stakeholders in Health policy, gov't affairs, value & access pricing and legal.
• Monitor IRA market trends and synthesize learnings for quarterly leadership updates that accelerate organizational strategy and program execution.
• Shape IRA playbooks for lessons learned and guide cross functional alignment for use and incorporation into planning and training.
• Oversee IRA workstreams that advance cross-functional readiness and response to IRA
• Work with Emerging Government Policy personnel to develop IRA business updates for Executive leadership on trends and workstream performance
• Collaborate with Health Policy & Government Affairs teams to monitor guidelines around IRA and drive updates to organizational plans as neededQualifications:
- BA/BS required, and an MBA preferred
- 5 plus years of work experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry required.
- Previous experience in financial assessment, policy, commercial analytics, market research or market access is beneficial
- Foundational understanding of the IRA policy and strategic considerations or implications for Janssen
- Demonstrated ability to assess, analyze and summarize market information, government regulations/guidance and data sources for executive review
- Deep understanding of the U.S. Market Access environment and downstream implications of negotiations
- Ability to navigate a matrix and collaborate with cross-functional Janssen teams, including but not limited to Commercial teams (brand marketing, pricing, contracting, account management, value & evidence, market access marketing), legal, policy & government affairs, etc
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams towards clear milestones and a common action plan
- Comfort with ambiguity and shaping new ways of working
