Associate Director of Accounting - Virtual Company

About the Job
- Lead the accounting close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and consolidate data for reporting.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including revenue and inventory management.
- Assist with technical accounting research and policy documentation.
- Implement robust internal controls and enhance financial processes.
- Support NetSuite implementation and optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive system enhancements.
- Coordinate with external auditors for compliance.
- Handle ad-hoc requests as directed by leadership.
- Become a trusted leader in day-to-day accounting operations.
- Document accounting policies and procedures.
- Drive continuous system and process improvements.
- Manage audit and compliance processes effectively.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to support the company’s vision.
- Proven success under pressure, highly organized, and deadline-driven.
- Collaborative team player who interacts well across departments.
- Adaptable to process improvements and changes.
- Analytical mindset and excellent project management skills.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Advanced Excel and Google Suite skills.
- Background in Diagnostic or Life Science industries.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $170K - $190K this year.
