About the Job
Wilkes University seeks a committed and collaborative professional to serve as the new Associate Director of Alumni Engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience with event planning, technology usage, and volunteer management with 5-7 years of progressive experience in higher education and knowledge of alumni relations and advancement. The ability to travel on occasion is required.
This position is responsible for helping to strengthen relationships and improve communication with alumni and to plan and implement programs, events and services which will provide broader opportunities for meaningful engagement with the university.
In addition, the associate director plans and executes the office's social media strategy to increasingly engage alumni through these outlets. The candidate will be expected to innovate, anticipate and execute programs in collaboration with campus partners and external constituents.
The associate director will assist in the planning and execution of alumni events and outreach efforts around the country, including Homecoming and regional chapters. Promotion of these events through various communication channels is expected, as is analysis outcome metrics.
