Associate Director of Formulation Sciences - Zachary Piper LLC

Piper Companies is looking for an Associate Director of Formulation Sciences to join a growing pharmaceutical company in Branford, Connecticut. The Associate Director will lead the Engineering and Formulation Sciences group to assist in laboratory studies in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and consumer products industries while simultaneously developing their own technologies with their innovative team.

Responsibilities for the Associate Director of Formulation Sciences:

·       Direct customer formulation development projects and interface with clients as a key point of contact

·       Provide technical and business feasibility assessments for proposed technologies

·       Lead and manage a team of scientists and engineers including experimental oversight and career development

·       Lead in the development of new technologies utilizing both internal and external resources

·       Recommend new capabilities and instrumentation

Qualifications for the Associate Director of Formulation Sciences:

·       Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, or another related field

·       8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or aligned industry

·       Experience successfully leading formulation projects to completion

·       Experience assessing and developing new technologies in the pharmaceutical field

·       Experience in a supervisory capacity leading a group of scientists/engineers

Compensation for the Associate Director of Formulation Sciences:

·       $165,000 to $225,000 commensurate on experience
