Associate Director of Interventional Pulmonology - Hackensack Meridian Health

The Department of Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center seeks an interventional pulmonologist to support a growing pulmonary and thoracic surgery service. As Associate Director, this provider will provide exceptional clinical care and will help expand the interventional pulmonary program. Procedures will be performed in a new and well equipped pulmonary procedure unit. The provider will be supported by dedicated pulmonary faculty, an established pulmonary and critical care fellowship program, and a robust thoracic oncology and surgery team. Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional patient care in pulmonology and interventional pulmonary procedures.
Perform clinical pulmonary consultation across ambulatory and hospital-based settings including critical care, emergency, medical and surgical wards.
Lead system and process initiatives to build the interventional pulmonary program.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including thoracic surgery and medical oncology to provide high quality, safe and accessible patient care.
Engage in quality and safety improvement activities.
Contribute to administrative and educational training activities including resident and fellow recruitment, teaching, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in and support clinical research efforts, and maintain high standards in clinical research practices.

Requirements:
M.D. or D.O. from a recognized medical school
Board Certification in Pulmonology
Completion of an Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship or board certification in Interventional Pulmonary Medicine
Ability to obtain New Jersey Medical License, DEA and CDS
