Responsibilities:Spectral Instruments Imaging, a member of the Bruker BioSpin Preclinical Imaging Division, is a fast-growing life science company with a robust history of producing superior in vivo imaging systems. Spectral Instruments Imaging is the industry's current technology leader - recognized for its high throughput, sensitivity and reliability. We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Sales Director to drive growth as we aggressively pursue market leadership status.
- Lead, drive, manage, and oversee direct sales and applications team to ensure achievement of revenue goals.
- Provide regular management communication and reporting with accurate forecasts, budgets, and commissions.
- Report on industry trends. Advise counterparts in R&D of notable, revenue generating pursuits.
- Ensure alignment between Spectral Instruments Imaging direct sales force, distribution network and the larger Bruker Preclinical Imaging Division Sales team.
- Coordinate internally to build and implement compensation plans that monitor performance and reward financial results and teamwork - including global lead sharing between SII and Bruker sales teams.
- Manage cross functional teams and influence independent groups outside of direct authority.
- Facilitate meaningful exchanges between field Applications Scientists and Marketing counterparts.
- Partner with marketing resources to develop and implement high impact campaigns and content, monitor results.
- Provide regular, ongoing and direct coaching to Sales including sales training and formal sales process implementation.
- Actively participate in key opportunities and build direct relationships with key opinion leaders.
- Responsible for the optimal deployment and performance of sales resources.
- Oversee the integration and maintenance of CRM, employee development, and other internal intelligence tools.
- Ensure the global PCOI business exceeds sales targets and growth objectives.
- Ensure adherence to Company policies and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a Life Science discipline.
- Minimum 10 years recent and successful direct work experience and track record of selling capital equipment including key account, sales team management, and business growth focusing on Preclinical Optical Imaging solutions and services.
- Proven success growing an incumbent brand in a well-established market.
- Demonstrated track record of managing and developing individual members of the US based sales and applications teams - as well as international district managers and distributors.
- Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical, proposal communication and presentation skills with written and oral English fluency and advanced MS Office Suite, Sales Force, Miller Heiman or comparable sales training proficiency.
- A driven, energetic – never give up leader with excellent leadership skills and excitement for new challenges and opportunity.
- Demonstrated ability to build, leverage, and optimize business relationships with all parties.
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, coordinate across differing time zones, and effectively manage resources.
- Operates at the highest standards of business ethics, honesty, personal integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements
- Reliable transportation and valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
- Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for extensive travel.
- May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
