As the Associate Executive Director for Second Harvest Food Bank, you will be at the forefront of providing leadership and strategic direction for Second Harvest Food Bank.
Working closely with the senior management team, you will drive program development, financial management, and grant administration. Your role will involve overseeing all food bank operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, fostering partnerships with agencies, and representing the program within the Feeding America network.
Your innovative ideas and problem-solving skills will play a crucial role in our mission to provide food assistance to those in need. By actively engaging with the community, staying informed of industry changes, and advocating for those facing food insecurity, you will play a vital role in making a positive impact and driving change.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
To excel as the Associate Executive Director at Second Harvest Food Bank, you'll need a unique blend of skills and experience. A bachelor's degree in a related field is a solid foundation, but we also value equivalent professional experience. Ideally, a master's degree would further enhance your qualifications, however, we consider advanced professional experience in lieu of a formal degree. Your track record in human services or a related field, coupled with strong leadership abilities and team management skills, will set you up for success in this role.
Experience in program development, strategic planning, and organizational management is key. You should possess a deep understanding of food insecurity issues and a commitment to addressing community challenges. Your ability to work effectively with diverse populations, lead with inspiration, communicate persuasively, and think strategically will be crucial. As a leader, your ability to work within an empowerment model of service and manage personnel will be essential. Your flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem-solving capabilities will set you up for success in this dynamic and impactful position
