The Role:
We are looking for an experienced transactional lawyer to take a leadership role in our commercial transactions and work closely with the company’s General Counsel on a broad range of additional legal matters.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced transactional lawyer who can not only take a leadership role in our commercial transactions, but who is also looking to work on a broader-range of legal matters in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with one of the most successful e-commerce apparel retailers in the industry.
What you will do:
- Be responsible for the company’s commercial transactions, which includes reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of agreements involving the company’s e-commerce business, including contracts related to our technology development, SaaS, licensing, strategic sourcing, procurement, supply agreements, shipping, logistics-related contracts, employment agreements, and general commercial contracting.
- Have a general understanding of data privacy, intellectual property, and how they impact our business and commercial transactions.
- Responsible for creating and improving agreements, templates, and policies for Fashion Nova with the goal of making contract review and negotiations more efficient and scalable.
- Work closely with the company’s General Counsel on a wide variety of other legal matters across the organization, particularly compliance initiatives and addressing the day-to-day legal needs throughout the company involving numerous areas of the law such as employment, intellectual property, and advertising law.
Minimum Required Qualifications. Candidates who do not meet these minimum qualifications will not be considered.
- 12+ years of practicing law, with a combination of at least 3 years at a top-tier law firm and in-house experience which includes working on legal matters other than commercial transactions.
- J.D. degree from a top-tier accredited law school
- Active membership in a United States state bar, or otherwise qualified to be a registered in-house counsel under California’s multi-jurisdictional practice program
- This position is 100% on-site at our Beverly Hills headquarters
