**Summary:**
Meta is seeking a highly motivated privacy attorney to join a growing team of go-to legal counsel for privacy area teams in the Product Compliance & Privacy Org (PCP). We drive the development and execution of scalable solutions for all of Meta to comply with new and evolving privacy obligations across the globe. This requires strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and excellent legal judgment. You will need a deep understanding of global privacy laws and a passion for new technology. We are looking for someone who is able to both work independently and collaborate across functions, including Meta's privacy, product, legal and policy teams.
**Required Skills:**
Associate General Counsel, Privacy Responsibilities:
1. Drive development and execution of the company's strategies to address new and evolving global privacy requirements
2. Lead on drafting new and updated privacy policies across the full range of Meta's products
3. Oversee the privacy policy safeguard life cycle end-to-end
4. Maintain subject matter expertise in new and evolving areas of global privacy law and regulatory pressures
5. Develop resources and tools that enable counsel across the company to provide durable and consistent advice on contested privacy issue
6. Drive high-profile and high-impact projects involving privacy analysis with cross-functional stakeholders across Meta's business, policy, legal, communications, security, and other departments
**Minimum Qualifications:**

7. J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
8. 8+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house or government experience
9. Experience with global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially including those relevant for social media, internet and technology companies
10. Experience advising on privacy legal risks and mitigations
11. Experience working on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
12. Proven problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
13. Proven business judgment and client counseling experience
14. Experience making decisions in the face of ambiguity and evolving priorities

**Public Compensation:**
$226,000/year to $304,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
