We are searching for a motivated & experienced Associate In-House Counsel
The In-House Associate Attorney will assist in providing comprehensive legal advice to the company, ensuring compliance with regulations, and mitigating risks. You will collaborate with various departments and play a key role in supporting legal strategies that protect and promote the company’s interests. This is a great opportunity for a recent law graduate or junior attorney looking to build their career in corporate law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Strategy: Assist in developing and implementing the company’s legal strategy to align with business objectives.
- Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including customer agreements, vendor contracts, and employment agreements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and advise on strategies to mitigate them. Assist in implementing risk management practices.
- Compliance: Support the company’s compliance with local, state, and federal laws, as well as industry regulations. Ensure the company operates in alignment with legal requirements.
- Training: Develop and deliver training programs on key legal topics to employees, ensuring awareness and understanding of relevant laws and policies.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between the company and external parties such as legal authorities, regulators, and other third parties. Work closely with senior management and other departments on legal matters.
- Outside Counsel: Assist in coordinating with external legal counsel for specialized matters or litigation, ensuring that the company’s interests are well represented.
- Legal Proceedings: Represent the company in legal proceedings, hearings, and negotiations when needed, under the supervision of senior counsel.
- Budget Management: Support in the development and management of the legal department's budget.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in New Jersey or eligible for admission.
- 0-2 years of experience, ideally in corporate law, contract law, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with laws and regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry is a plus.
