Responsibilities
This position is responsible for providing input and guidance to assist with executing plans and procedures, working in tandem with the Senior IO Engineer to provide support for the operations and support teams, including preventative and root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of technology architecture roadmaps and assist with maintaining existing roadmaps
- Assist in establishing server computer and storage environments by designing system configurations, assisting with systems installations along with enforcing system standards
- Collaborate and work effectively with different technology teams and vendors
- Maintain an understanding of both business knowledge and the current industry standards
- Assist in evaluating current server needs and storage systems, and work with the Senior IO Engineer to develop action plans for necessary improvements and enhancements, tied to the IT D&I team and in line with overall technology plan for the organization
- Collaborate and work effectively with different technology teams and vendors delivering complete server computer & storage solutions.
- Assist with technical and business knowledge of current industry directions and trends focusing on server architecture.
Qualifications
Essential Experience
- Knowledge of HyperV and VMWare Virtual Environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of networking concepts and fundamentals; DNS, DHCP, VLANS, VPNs
- Experience working in a compliance regulated industry
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with HyperV and VMWare virtual environments
- Experience working with Active Directory and a Windows domain environment
- Experience with Windows Server environments
- Experience working with third party vendors to troubleshoot, migrate and configure software
- Experience evaluating server hardware
- Experience performing infrastructure reviews and assessments
- Experience working in the medical industry
- Experience working in a compliance regulated industry
