We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Associate to join our dynamic Insurance Defense team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in legal research, legal writing, pleadings, and insurance coverage. The successful candidate will be involved in high-profile cases, providing a robust defense for our insurance clients. This position offers a challenging but rewarding work environment, where every day is different, and your contributions are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate in our Insurance Defense team, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Drafting compelling arguments and pleadings in defense of our insurance clients.
2. Conducting extensive legal research to support case strategies and to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
3. Analyzing insurance policies to determine the extent of the insurer's liabilities and coverage.
4. Advising clients on First Party Property matters and insurance coverage issues.
5. Collaborating with team members to prepare for trials, depositions, and mediations.
6. Participating in the development of defense strategies and presenting recommendations to clients.
7. Maintaining meticulous records and ensuring all case documents are appropriately filed and accessible.
8. Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Insurance Defense, with a focus on First Party Property and insurance coverage.
4. Proven experience in drafting arguments, pleadings and other legal documents.
5. Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly and persuasively.
6. In-depth knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and industry practices.
7. Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to think strategically.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and work effectively in a team.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
