About the Job
This Associate Legal Counsel-Consumer Banking will provide hands-on legal support and counsel to and work with business leaders, managers, and colleagues on legal issues impacting UMB and its subsidiaries.
How you will spend your time:
+ Research and advise on a broad range of legal and banking topics and matters.
+ Act as a legal resource for customer-facing and other internal staff.
+ Review, negotiate and draft agreements.
+ Advise leadership and staff in resolving customer challenges and concerns.
+ Participate in projects and process improvements.
+ Educate internal clients on common legal matters or challenges.
+ Prepare and distribute regular status reports.
+ Summarize trends and issues.
We’re excited to talk with you if you have:
+ JD and licensed to practice law.
+ 1 year of legal experience
+ Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong working knowledge of legal issues in assigned areas.
Bonus points if you have:
+ 3 years of legal experience or experience in a law firm or in-house financial institution.
+ General understanding of consumer banking products and services.
+ Experience with banking-related or general regulatory research and compliance.
+ Experience with estate planning concepts and documents.
Compensation Range:
Minimum: $83,200.00 - Maximum: $214,560.00
