About the Job
The Associate Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading and developing high performance work teams that specialize in the installation, operation and repair of machinery used in production. Also, responsible for managing quality performance, cost parameters, and customer service for internal customers. This role works between 2nd and 3rd shift.
Tentative Schedule: Sunday - Thursday typically 8PM-5AM
(This role may require weekends, holidays & off shift hours)
Salary: $80K to $105K (depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the planning and design of products, tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment and mechanical industrial processes.
- Oversees production, installation, operations, maintenance, and repair of mechanically functioning equipment, including boilers, air compressors, refrigeration, wastewater treatment, process equipment and controls.
- Collaborates, works cross-functionally to build partnerships, and improve processes within the organization.
- Drives engagement by creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.
- Responsible for training and development of team members.
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of a group of employees, manages schedules, approves overtime takes disciplinary actions, as necessary; and resolves issues.
- Assigns, monitors, and reviews the progress and accuracy of assigned work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience (Required):
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, plus 3 years of industrial manufacturing experience OR in lieu of degree, 7 years of industrial maintenance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Supervisory, communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Computer and PLC skills (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Skilled in applying broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in maintenance.
Highly Preferred:
- Dairy or Food Manufacturing experience
- Ladder Logic experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
