Job Description
This position will serve as the Associate Manager and support the Sr. Payroll Specialists and Payroll Specialist’s daily work and will perform as back up for the Payroll Manager. The Assoc. Manager will contribute to the training and development of the Payroll Team. This position will provide direction and assistance to the Sr/Payroll Specialists. The Associate Manager will be a dedicated professional and should set an example of commitment, good work ethic and positivity.
Job Duties
+ This position will also handle the bi-weekly and weekly Empyrean and Empower uploads, assist in Canadian payroll, workers comp and applicable taxes. They will act as a liaison with ADP Tax Department, assisting in handling state and local account set ups and tax issues. Assist the Payroll Team with ADP Quarterly adjustments. Trains and assists Sr/Payroll Specialist with special payroll payment situations. Assists Payroll Manager with all special and annual projects as needed, including but not limited to, Bonus Overtime Calculations, Open Enrolment, Benefits Uploads, Canadian Top-Up PTO pay out, W2C’s and ADP Reporting.
+ In addition, this position will continue to process and maintain changes to employee’s compensation, taxes, and voluntary deductions as well as assist with bi-weekly payroll for our Olympus Tokyo inpats and expats. They will create adhoc financial and operational reports as needed and requested by Sr. Leadership.
+ This position will support the internal & external audits in addition to integrations due to acquisitions, mergers, divestures, and system implementations.
+ This position will identify opportunities and develop process improvement recommendations to further enhance the overall improvements to the GBS organization.
Job Qualifications
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting finance or business management required, or commensurate amount of experience may be substituted for degree required.
+ Minimum of 8-12 years payroll experience required in a corporate multi-company multi-state environment utilizing ADP Payroll applications.
Preferred:
+ Payroll management experience preferred.
+ Thorough knowledge of payroll processing across multi-states payroll process and procedure and payroll laws regulations and standards of OCA payroll process and Olympus business entities documented payroll process flows and training materials.
+ Working knowledge of Time & Attendance systems including the following systems: Vantage & WFN Time and Attendance.
+ Work efficiently effectively and accurately in a team environment and or independently while remaining calm and focused under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
+ Proficiency in MS office programs with emphasis on Excel worksheets and report writing systems.
+ Technically literate and able to learn and use systems and or software quickly.
+ Customer service ability coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide excellent customer service to all staff.
+ Adaptability to change processes or methods depending on client needs.
+ Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
+ Strong organization skills.
+ Ability to multi-task as well as work quickly and accurately.
+ Ability to work overtime and flexible with business travel to other site locations as required in support of Payroll objectives
