We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary
Dominion Energy is looking to hire Associate, Mid, or Senior Financial Analysts to join our team in Richmond, VA. There are multiple positions available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates' education, experience, knowledge skills, and abilities.
The incumbents in these roles support the financial planning and analysis function for the company's Power Generation business. Power Generation supports all non-nuclear generation including the expanding group of renewable assets.
Duties may include the following:
- Provides financial analysis and review to support Power Generation's financial management processes
- Prepares both monthly and balance of year forecasts, including variance analyses (actuals vs. budget/forecast)
- Prepares periodic updates of detailed five-year budget plans
- Provide support and analysis to various regulatory filings
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives, and create data-driven recommendations
- Work collaboratively across a matrixed, cross-functional structure, and collaborate with a high-performing team
- Facilitates monthly financial review meetings with project managers, operations groups and executive management to communicate financial results and projections
- Identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvement and process transparency
- Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as requested or assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
Associate Financial Analyst:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in directly related field
- Knowledge of financial management and analysis, utility and/or relevant industry knowledge, accounting standards and practices. Working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint.
- Skills: good organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
- Teaming, analytical and customer focus skills.
- Good basic skills in project analysis and financial planning and analysis.
- Aptitude for continuous learning.
Financial Analyst:
- 2-3+ years of experience in financial management and analysis; utility and/or relevant industry; accounting standards and practices.
- Skills: excellent leadership; organizational; interpersonal; verbal and written communication, teamwork, analytical and customer focus skills
- Some expertise in consolidated financial planning and analysis; capital allocation; project financial analysis; M&A analysis; due diligence process; understanding of accounting, tax and financing principles.
- Knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint.
- Aptitude for continuous learning.
Senior Financial Analyst:
- 5-6+ years of experience in financial management and analysis; utility and/or relevant industry; accounting standards and practices
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Business Warehouse (BW), SAP, Anaplan and Power BI
- Experience in financial management and analysis, accounting standards and practices required
- Experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis
- Requires excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Utility and/or relevant industry experience preferred
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Accounting, Business, Finance
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
