About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to shape and execute our strategy with US philanthropic foundations. This senior-level role is pivotal in strengthening our existing reputation in the US philanthropic sector and growing our portfolio of high impact strategy, evaluation and learning work. You will be a strategic thinker, with a strong network at all levels in the philanthropic sector, a track record in building and delivering a consultancy portfolio, including leading consultancy teams, excellent relationship management skills, and expertise in strategy, evaluation and learning.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive philanthropic strategy aligned with Itad’s overall purpose, values and strategy.
- Shape the overall approach to engaging with and expanding relationships with US philanthropic foundations.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their strategic goals and co-create tailored approaches to strategy, evaluation and learning.
- Knowledge of using digital and AI technologies in the delivery of strategy, evaluation and learning assignments [Desirable].
- Reputation Building
- Build Itad’s reputation among US-based philanthropic foundations through face-to-face and online networking, events, and thought leadership.
- Lead collaboration across our UK and US offices to identify opportunities to showcase our work and network with key stakeholders.
- Identify and represent Itad at key US events.
- Strategy, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
- Co-design strategy, evaluation and learning assignments with clients, that are tailored to their specific needs and ways of working.
- Drawing on expertise in the UK office, lead and deliver high impact assignments that inform foundations’ strategies and decision making.
- Leverage Itad’s existing expertise in data and digital in strategy, evaluation and learning assignments.
- Portfolio Development
- Building on Itad’s existing assignments in the US, grow a sustainable portfolio of work across a diverse range of philanthropic foundations.
- Conduct detailed research to identify potential client opportunities.
- Lead on producing compelling proposals and applications in response to requests for proposals (RfPs).
- Scale a team of strategy, evaluation and learning experts in the US.
- Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential foundation clients, building on your established networks and relationships with philanthropic foundations.
- Serve as Itad’s principal strategy, evaluation and learning expert working with US philanthropic foundations to understand their goals and objectives and develop tailored approaches.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role will range from $140-160k dependent on experience. Benefits include 20 days of paid holiday, 10 days of paid sick leave, a 401K, and healthcare.
