About the Job
The mission of Christ’s Church of the Valley is to win people to Jesus Christ, train believers to become disciples, and send disciples to impact the world. The Students Ministry supports the mission of CCV by shaping students to become Christ-centered difference makers. The Students Pastor will assist in pastoring Junior and Senior High students through recruiting, training, and retaining youth coaches and implementing Junior and Senior High school programs and events. The Students Pastor will also assist in growing the campus in all areas numerically such as attendance, coaches, and baptisms.
Job DescriptionNEXT STEPS
- Help people commit to Jesus Christ & your local campus by executing regular Starting Point classes.
- Champion Starting Point follow-up for your campus, and make sure every person understands their Next Step in their faith journey.
- Own baptism on your campus and ensure that every person is celebrated and challenged to take their Next Step.
- Help and assist every person activate their gifts and talents to fulfill the vision of the church.
COACH RECRUITING, TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
- Recruit and develop group coaches in your AOR.
- Train, empower, and encourage your coaches in all areas (best practices, group multiplication, disciple-making, etc.)
- Ensure coaches are actively helping people connect in the community, grow spiritually, and take Next Steps.
- Cast a clear vision for how to move people in their Next Step and multiply groups.
STEWARD GROUPS
- Cast a clear vision for why groups help us fulfill our vision and mission.
- Help coaches remain focused on helping people connect in the community and challenged to grow in their Next Step.
- Assist in helping people find the best group near them or for them.
- Empower coaches to develop an assistant coach and activate the gifts and talents of those in their group so we can multiply groups.
CAMPUS SUPPORT
- Provide pastoral care to the people in your AOR as needed. This includes, but is not limited to weddings, funerals, baptisms, hospital/hospice calls, and baby dedications.
- Assist and contribute with your campus team in any events regardless of whether its in your AOR or not.
- Develop relationships with key members and organizations within your AOR (school leaders, business leaders, city officials, etc.)
