Through our talented staff and “LEAP” career framework (Leadership, Empowerment, Accountability, Personal Growth), we are committed to a people-first approach that fosters trust, inclusion, growth, and development for all.The Staten Island YMCA - Counseling Service is seeking an Associate Program Director who will be responsible for providing direct care services while ensuring that all necessary day-to-day clinical, programmatic, and fiscal operations are being fully executed by the clinical, volunteer, and support staff. Responsibilities include the provision of direct care as well as administrative and clinical supervision of program staff and services in conjunction with the Senior Program Director. The Associate Program Director will also be responsible for assisting the Senior Program Director in ensuring that operations of such programming are in contract and quality compliance with all regulatory and contract obligations. Additionally, they will be responsible for facilitating program growth and development functions, including outreach presentations regarding program services to collateral agencies, schools, and community organizations.Key Responsibilities:-Deliver direct services and maintain caseload including, but not limited to, intake assessments, as well as individual crisis intervention, and group, family, and family support sessions.-Maintain and oversee comprehensive and appropriate documentation for each client file in the North Shore Adult Program.-Develop and enhance program census through outreach, agency coordination, coalition participation, and the creation/maintenance of strategic partnerships while ensuring that programs utilize best practices.-Perform outreach presentations, attend networking meetings, and participate in coalitions representing the agency.-Responsible for the day-to-day clinical, programmatic, and administrative operations of the North Shore Adult Program in conjunction with the Senior Program Director for Adult Services.-Assist in the development of special events in addition to supporting annual fundraising and special events.-Recruit, train, retain, and supervise volunteers, interns, and clinical staff delivering programming, including conducting performance appraisals with staff and providing administrative/clinical/programmatic supervision in coordination with the Senior Program Director.-Responsible for the implementation of Program Services as outlined in funding /regulatory contracts, develop and enhance programming and services in response to client and community needs funding, and mandating and referring resources with timely and accurate required documentation and reports.Desired Skills & Experience:-NYS License with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling (or a related field preferred). -AdvancedCASAC or above-level Clinicians will also be considered.-LCSW Preferred. LMSW and LMHC are welcome to apply.-Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the substance use disorder field.-Minimum of two (2) years in program development and social service.-Minimum one (1) year of experience in staff supervision, fiscal management, program planning, and quality assurance preferred.-Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the addiction field preferred.Benefits:The YMCA of Greater New York offers a variety of benefits to its staff members, including retirement benefits, medical, paid time off, free YMCA membership, and more!
