Responsibilities:Position Summary:
Associate Project Manager who assists Senior Project Managers on large projects. Provides analytical and administrative support to the Planning, Design, & Construction project management team. Assists with submittals, work plans and schedules. Tracks critical dates for project management team. Takes initiative to make recommendations to modify construction and design contracts to incorporate needs of the project. Daily interaction with the Contractor and consultants. Manages project reviews for conformance to regulatory requirements and organization policies. Under minimum supervision, manages small, renovation, maintenance, repair, and Minor Capital Projects from establishing design concepts, project budget and schedules through design implementation and coordination of construction. Provides status reports as directed and ensure regular communication with key project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Bluebeam, & AutoCAD.
- Thorough written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Knowledge of building and construction, design, construction contract administration and California Building Codes.
- Good organizational and analytical skills. Detail oriented to accurately proof contracts and other documents.
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a complex workload in an environment with changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Skills to develop project scope and drawings.
- Knowledge of University Policies and Procedures applicable to the UCI Health.
- Knowledge of Public Contracting Code and Policies as they pertain to procuring professional services, purchase orders, and construction contracts.
- Basic knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs
