The Revenue and Billing Associate will join the Finance team at Choreo to handle customer accounts, ensuring that accounts are timely and properly billed and payments are accurately accounted for, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction related to financial activity. This role will streamline the billing process for all Wealth Management offices and will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of refund processing, invoicing, receivable tracking and reporting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with quarterly electronic billing of client accounts. Using the portfolio accounting system and data provided by custodial providers:
- Review billable amounts calculated by their systems
- Create, audit, and upload the quarterly files to custodians
- Manage the follow-on remittance from custodian to Choreo
- Create quarterly and ad hoc invoices in accounting system and email to clients
- Evaluate refund requests for appropriateness and, when approved by the Billing Supervisor, process and track refunds
- Research and answer billing and receivables questions from clients and internal Advisors
- Provide real-time visibility of billing and collections activity to internal Choreo personnel
- Compile ad hoc reporting and research as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree from an accredited university in accounting or finance
- Minimum 2 years' experience in electronic billings and/or Portfolio Accounting, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Basic understanding of revenue recognition under GAAP
- Strong math and computer skills, especially Excel
- Experience with enterprise-grade accounting software
- Strong written and oral communication skills; quick to respond
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality levels
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and productively from home; being available during normal business hours as if working in an office with the team
Expected annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 plus incentive compensation. Salary is negotiable based on location, experience, and qualifications.
