About the Job
When you work as an Associate Scientist in the Dose Formulation Analysis (DFA) lab at KCAS, you get to further our mission by contributing scientist for studies with the ability to carry out and supervise all aspects from setup through reporting and development. You will utilize your strong knowledge base in scientific principles/theories to assess data integrity and troubleshoot, as necessary.
Our DFA lab team verifies all solutions used in preclinical toxicology studies to ensure drugs are safe and effective, utilizing either UV/Vis or Fluorescence detectors, depending on what is appropriate the protein or small molecule.

In this role, we will rely on you to:
- Proficiencywith analytical Dose Formulation Analysis (DFA), method development, validation, and analysis required by the department
- Assist with the design of experiments andprovide work instructions and technical training to more junior scientific staff in daily activities
- Prepare data summaries for senior scientists to aid in client updates
- Interact with clients and auditors, as necessary
- Act as a technical expert for all aspects of process design and problem-solving
- Perform all aspects of the job to support the company brand and support the company mission, vision, and values
To qualify specifically for this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology, Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with at least 3 years of industry experience
- Good knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with pipetting
- Experience preparing solutions
- Detail-oriented and commitment to quality, safety, accuracy, and reliability
- Ability to prioritize while working across multiple projects
